ISLE OF MAN
We are currently sending out reminder letters for expiring qualifications. If you receive one please contact us to arrange a date for reassessment. Don't wait until your qualification is due to arrange reassessment as we cannot guarantee places (due to dates on island and minimum numbers). Qualifications can now be taken up to 6 months in advance, and will not start until your old qualification runs out.
Due to a decrease in the numbers booking on monthly courses, we will now be organising training every other month at the Isle of Man College. We will do our best to accommodate training requests if availability is an issue – just call us to discuss further.
Next Course with availability: Week Commencing 23rd March 2020
Please contact us for further info or to request a course.
EDS have been successful in renewing their contract with the Department of Economic Development (DED), to provide essential training and re-training in the Domestic and Commercial Utilities industry (Gas, Oil and Water) for the Isle of Man. This new contract will be effective 1st May 2014.
We will be carrying out training courses on a regular basis, however, these are as usual, on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and as normal we will be as flexible as we can to meet your requirements.
To ensure you keep your qualifications up to date, we suggest you book your courses well in advance.
Our web site and Facebook page are currently being updated with course information and will be updated on a regular basis. Please feel free to browse through, as well as course dates other useful material will be available.
One of the benefits will be that EDS will carry out all administration activity at source, this will include invoicing for any training undertaken directly to the candidate, rather than the DED invoice the candidate. All payments must be received 14 days from date of invoice or by return if booking within 14 days of course start date. This will then secure your place.
With this in mind, we respectfully request that you read all statements relating to our cancellation policy, terms and conditions, when booking courses at the Tromode training centre. There is a legal requirement for us to carry out this policy. A copy of this statement is as follows :
If applicant is unable to attend agreed date with EDS, written confirmation will need to be sent at least one month prior to course start date. If this condition has been met, full reimbursement of costs will be given.
However, failure to comply with the above condition will result in the following action:-
two weeks’ notice – 50% of course fees reimbursed
one week’s notice – 25% of course fees reimbursed
less than one week, no refund
If you have any questions, queries or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our Isle of Man Administrator is Mandy and she can be contacted on the number at the bottom of the page.
Can we take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you’ve shown us in the last seven years and look forward to working with you all in the future.
